Paris Saint-Germain held Real Madrid to a goalless draw in their UEFA Champions League clash on Wensday night.
The opening half was dominated by the defensive organisation of both sides but Jese had a decent shot on target in the 25th minute that Trapp kept out well.
Los Blancos came close to taking the lead in the 35th minute when Cristiano Ronaldo met Marcelo’s cross with a header but Trapp made another good save.
Real put the pressure on again in the 39th minute. Isco’s initial effort was deflected wide and then Marcelo almost found Ronaldo with another cross.
Edinson Cavani threatened to put the Parisians in the lead just after the break when he sent a wolley just wide from Thiago Motta’s cross from the left.
Ronaldo was in the thick of things yet again in the 72nd minute. A counter attack resulted in Ronaldo smashing a volley across goal and only narrowly missing the far post.
PSG suddenly threw everything at the visitors in stoppage time but it was too late as they teams had to settle for a point.
