Mashaba: Mauritania Are Not An Easy Opponent!

Mashaba Not Taking Mauritania For Granted

Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has issued a strong warning to his charges not to take Mauritania lightly going into tonight’s all-important 2017 African Cup Nations Qualifier clash.

South Africa and their opponents are in position three and four respectively in the Group M standings with both sides equally on the lookout for maximum points to get their campaign on track.
In the opening qualifiers fixtures, Bafana drew 0-0 with Gambia while in the same group Cameroon beat Mauritania 1-0 and, Mashaba told the Siya crew that their opponents won’t be easy and that they have to walk into the battle field with respect and the will to win.
“If a team loses 1-0 to Cameroon that’s says a lot to you. You cannot take that team lightly. They won’t be an easy opponent but we have prepared very well for the game and today we just need to iron out what we have practiced into work and win this game.
“The good thing is that we continue to create chances which if we score we can easily win games and hopefully that’s what will happen today. Everyone in the team is aware of the importance of this game and we will be working together to get a positive result which is a win,” Mashaba observed.
