Sangweni: A point was vital

On Saturday Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs played out to a goalless draw at the FNB Stadium.

However, despite the draw Bucs defender Siyabonga Sangweni was happy with his side’s display against Chiefs.

The former Bafana Bafana defender told the Siya crew that they had the chances to win the have but luck was not on their side.

“We played very well. We played according to the coach’s instructions and we created good chances where we could have score but we didn’t,” Sangweni said.

“We can’t complain about the draw because at least we got a point and that point is important in our quest to finish in a respectable position in the league. It’s good we played well.”
