Shakes Mashaba Announces his squad

New Bafana Bafana coach,
Shakes Mashaba, named his first 25-man squad today ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan and Nigeria.

Mashaba’s first squad had been eagerly anticipated by football fans in South Africa since his appointment as Gordon Igesund’s successor last month, and he has now revealed the 25 names that made the cut.

Goalkeepers:

Itumeleng Khune, Senzo Meyiwa, Dumisani Msibi.

Defenders:

Buhle Mkhwanazi, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Thabo Matlaba, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Ayabulela Magqwaka, Erick Mathoho, Anele Ngcongca, Rivaldo Coetzee, Sibusiso Khumalo.

Midfielders:

Themba Zwane, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Oupa Manyisa, Andile Jali, Dean Furman, Ayanda Patosi, Keagan Dolly, Mandla Masango, Kamohelo Mokotjo.

Strikers:

Tokelo Rantie, Bongani Ndulula, David Zulu, Bonginkosi Ntuli.

Reserves:

Darren Keet, Ronwen Williams, Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Bongani Zungu, Jabu Shongwe, George Lebese, Percy Tau, Nana Ntuli and Siya Ngubo.

Mashaba’s first game in charge will be the away clash with Sudan on Friday, September 5 , before returning to Mzansi to take on Nigeria at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday the 10
